Could you please include your Xorg.0.log, Xorg.0.log.old, a dmesg of your
system running 2.6.22-14, and from
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/DebuggingXAutoconfiguration the information
related to keyboard issues. if you could try to trigger this bug without using
X, could be of great help.
