Your primary disk drive ( /dev/sda ) is formatted with GPT.  To install
grub to such a disk in a bios booting PC, you must create a 1 mb
bios_grub partition on that disk.  As an alternative, since you seem to
be installing Ubuntu to the other disk anyhow, set grub to install to
/dev/sdb, and make sure that your bios is configured to boot from that
drive.
