Public bug reported:
OpenGL applications seem to cause a keyboard delay until X is restarted.
I first noticed this when using early versions of Beryl. Whenever I
would hold the Shift key and press another key the keyboard delay would
start.
However, it happens more frequently as I've been playing the Enemy
Territory: Quake Wars demo. In the game, you hold Shift to sprint and W
to move forward. It may not happen right away but it always eventually
happens, I don't think I've played for more than a half hour before it
starts.
If I remember correctly, it also happened to me playing Urban Terror.
In the game, you hold Shift to walk slowly while also pressing W to move
forward. But it always seems to happen using OpenGL applications,
holding the Shift key and pressing/holding another key.
(Using Kubuntu 7.04, KDE 3.5.7 on a Dell Dimension 2400 desktop,
standard keyboard)
