Public bug reported:

I saw this bug some releases ago, but still occurs on Ubuntu 17.04beta2.
I boot the computer and start the Ubuntu on live mode (instead of installer
mode). After that I asks to start Ubiquity to do the proper installation.
Finally I gone to the "Preparing to install Ubuntu" screen when I mark to
download and install updates during the installation and also to install
proprietary components.
After that just hangs!
The workaround is to close the installer and open again. Now the options came
pre selected (because the debconf) and after that the process keep going.

** Affects: ubiquity (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
