I would still prefer that they just pick the driver (with source) form the ralink site. That driver just works, the only problem is that it shows up as a wired nic in network manager and you have to configure the ssid and key in a text file "/etc/Wireless/RT73STA/rt73sta.dat"
and that you can only scan with iwpriv rausb0 get_site_survey So driver work fine but just not compatibe with nm and standard scanning methods. But in my opinion that's still better then the rt2x00 driver wich intergrates in nm and allows scans but just cannot connect you to the wireless network. In my eyes is nicely integrated but not working VS partially integrated and functional. and then I (and i think a lot of people) would prefer functional over not working, even if its less integrated. -- rt73 wifi not working out of box https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/95889 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
