I don't understand exactly what the problem is here, but I came across the problem of this package not being in Feisty (indeed, I want to try out Banter). So I set out compiling the Feisty source. After installing cli-common-dev (see http://pkg-mono.alioth.debian.org/cli-policy/ , this is not in the Build-Depends!), a package could be created. To be able to get pkg-config to work, I had to edit /usr/lib/pkgconfig/gnome-keyring- sharp.pc to point to gnome-keyring-1 as a requirement instead of gnome- keyring.
I know not enough of mono to compile the test program, so if it actually works (if the binary functions as it should) is still to be seen. But compilation&installation seemed to work.
