Hi, I've a similiar problem, when a system-tool is launched, no password is prompted anymore, and no info is displayed (i.e. no users in users-admin e no network interfaces in network-admin). After Martin's comment, I've found that no admin group is present so after creating it (and restarting dbus) all works well. I question: it is a bug in my system (with dapper there weren't any problem), or something is missing during the dapper->edgy upgrade?
