Public bug reported:

Am I the only person to be finding that since 14 March 2017, and on two
separate machines both running Ubuntu 16.04.2 and using canonical-
livepatch, there are regular messages (every few hours) in syslog like
this:

2017-03-29 21:14:45 dl1 snapd[926]: 2017/03/29 21:14:45.298023 snapmgr.go:508:
No snaps to auto-refresh found
2017-03-29 21:14:45 dl1 /usr/lib/snapd/snapd[926]: snapmgr.go:508: No snaps to
auto-refresh found
2017-03-30 02:59:45 dl1 snapd[926]: 2017/03/30 02:59:45.357187 snapmgr.go:508:
No snaps to auto-refresh found
2017-03-30 02:59:45 dl1 /usr/lib/snapd/snapd[926]: snapmgr.go:508: No snaps to
auto-refresh found

On both machines the reference is to snapmgr.go:508, and on both
machines my snap list is:

$ sudo snap list
Name                 Version  Rev   Developer  Notes
canonical-livepatch  7        22    canonical  -
core                 16-2     1441  canonical  -

Package version:
$ sudo apt-cache policy snapd

The first of these messages was at 2017-03-14 18:47:06 GMT whereas I
have been using canonical-livepatch (and hence snapd) for several
months. Another machine which does not use canonical-livepatch, and has
no snaps installed, does not (of course) show these messages. The only
snaps I use are for canonical-livepatch so I can't comment on whether
the messages would occur if other snaps were in use and not canonical-
livepatch.

Also on 2017-03-14, but not subsequently, there was/were some sort of update of
snapd which shows up many messages in syslogd including these:

linux/4.4.0-66-generic.

There are no later messages about 'started snapd'. Despite these
messages, apt-cache policy suggests I am running snapd 2.22.6

The auto-refresh messages suggest something is wrong, since I *do* have
snaps that should be auto-refreshing, but maybe they are just advisory
(i.e. they mean: 'none of the snaps need to be refreshed'); if this is
the case, I think the message text should be changed.

Ubuntu release:

Release:        16.04

** Affects: snapd (Ubuntu)
