Public bug reported:
We recently finally fixed bug 769314. Now in zesty when you press
backspace on an empty prompt in gnome-terminal, you will hear a bell
sound.
But I noticed that the fix for that bug did not affect ubuntu-terminal-
app. I didn't dig into why, but ideally it would also play a bell sound
in that situation.
