does your system crash, close unexpectedly like in a power failure or something
like that, which could cause some file corruptions?.
please remove the following files and see if the problem persist, you could
probably want to backup the saved_state file before:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ rm -rf /tmp/orbit-`whoami` ~/.gconfd/saved_state
