I tried the Proposed setting, and did the update/upgrade cycle, but no replacement kernel came in. I turned the option off, then found that 4.8.0-45 was ready to install.
Same story - no wireless, and no ath9k driver in the kernel modules. So I ran "sudo apt-get install --reinstall linux-image- extra-4.8.0-45-generic" and now have the module and working wireless. This is fixed for me, but there are probably lots out there with broken networking and limited ability to update. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1678309 Title: Driver for realtek card missing from 4.8.0-44, was present in 4.8.0-41 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1678309/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
