When I have chrome windows open, and switch desktops, chrome and compiz cpu shoot up to between 25% and 105% of my cpu (shown in top). It appears this issue has been documented since 14.04. https://bugs.launchpad.net/compiz/+bug/1293384 I have been researching for several weeks. A short term solution was disabling hardware acceleration in chrome. However, the issue has arisen once again. I have been all over google and tried multivarious solutions, none have worked. There is no solution, this is a bug. Let me know what I can do to help you guys solve it. ** Affects: unity (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1680562 Title: Chrome and Compiz take High CPU on 16.04 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unity/+bug/1680562/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
