Binary package hint: gnome-system-monitor
Gutsy Gibbon RC1,g-s-m 2.20,also system-monitor screen size is oversize
and window top panel does not show when quit must use monitor link -top
left tab- and quit.Always repeatable as user.Not a problem if sudo
gnome-system-monitor.May be a problem in metacity ? .

gnome-system-monitor when run as user has display problems on process
tab.screen flashes on/off whenever the mouse cursor is on screen.flashing stops
when mouse cursor is off screen.when run as sudo NO problem,always repeatable
as user.
