Guess the same problem here. Hypervisor: Windows Server 2012 R2 and Windows 10 Guest: Gen2 Ubuntu 16.04.2 LTS fresh install
With any kernel from 4.4.0-21 to 4.4.0-66 everything works fine. Update to 4.4.0-67 - 72 and machines crash with out-of-memory if I make SAVE/RESTORE VM or live migrate it. Your virtual DVD reference gave me a hint. I removed DVD from the VM and tried SAVE/RESTORE again with a 4.4.0-72 kernel - and it WORKED!!! -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1679898 Title: [Hyper-V] Ubuntu VM crash during Hyper-V backup or live migration after installing kernel 4.4.0-67 or later To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1679898/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
