Public bug reported:

I've just upgraded to Gutsy and now I've a big problem when trying to play
multimedia files with AC3 as their audio track.
I don't know why, but sound stutters. I've a DD decoder linked to my sound card
and its little led indicating that current flux is AC3 or not, blinks :/
Also there is another problem related I've seen a little longer. When I play,
say a DVD, if I pause it and resume later, AC3 will stutter too. It's very
annoying.
My card is a SB Live! 5.1, using snd-emu10k1 module. Seems to me that the alsa
driver is less and less better as the releases increase :/

** Affects: alsa-driver (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
