Although ubuntu 7.10 recognized the wireless card (wlan0) on a laptop
Samsung R70, I founded several bugs:
1) any of these commands
# iwconfig wlan0 freq 2,422G
# iwconfig wlan0 freq 2,422
# iwconfig wlan0 freq 2,422GHz
# iwconfig wlan0 freq auto
# iwconfig wlan0 channel (anychannel)
# iwconfig wlan0 channel auto
It will not change the frequency keeping 2.412 GHz all the time.
2)
#iwconfig wlan0 mode monitor
#iwconfig wlan0 mode ap
Will not change mode keeping managed mode all the time.
3) A question
Does the driver only works with IEE 802.g or wil it work properly with IEE
802.11 b also?
