Thanks Kai. Do you refer to comment #10? Unfortunately this test won't be possible for me, this notebook was lent to me to eradicate a corrupted Win8 installation (job done - Linux installed) and I'll soon have to return it to its owner. I prefer to keep a clean fresh install (even if currently impacted by this bug) than risking to break more things due to my inexperience with manual kernel installations. This has been my most difficult Linux installation so far (for other reasons), so I'll leave it here, sorry. I hope someone else has the knowledge and time to test this v4.11-rc6.
