Hi, same problem here with Ubuntu Budgie 17.04 (clean installation). Not VM. Ethernet, but I have clean installation of Ubuntu Budgie on laptop and I had once problem with connection also there (wifi), but I didnt not check the logs.. I will report it here if it happens and if same messages are in logs.
