Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: eog
There are regressions in this new version of eye of gnome.
1. Scrollwheel zoom is disabled by default, and if users want to know how to
turn it on, they need to know that such a thing as a 'configuration editor'
exists, and how to use it to enable 'scrollwheel zoom' in 'eog'.
You can still do it by holding ctrl, but this means having to use the keyboard
as well as the mouse, and this is ultimately more strenuous.
This is not user friendly. Why isn't the option listed in the Preferences
dialogue in eye of gnome itself?
2. In the older version, users could click and drag on the picture to move it,
using the left mouse button. Now, for some incomprehensible reason, this
function has been moved to the middle button.
This is a pointless change. Many users who are accustomed to the old version
will assume that this feature has been removed.
