pulseaudio keeps crashing for me too on Zesty, maybe about once a day. It didn't happen in earlier releases.
When it crashes, volume controls (Fn+F2/F3 hotkeys on my laptop, and in Unity's upper panel) no longer work. Manually launching "pulseaudio --start" fixes the Unity panel's control, but does not fix the more convenient keyboard shortcuts. Logging out and back in fixes everything. Seems to me that existing Firefox processes (or tabs? not sure) can still play sound when there's no pulseaudio running (no clue how), but newly opened ones cannot. Let me know if there's anything I can help. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1675892 Title: pulseaudio crashed with SIGABRT To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pulseaudio/+bug/1675892/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
