Public bug reported:
Upgraded from 16.04 to 17.04, Dell 9350. Using version 1.6.2 of xinput.
Using libinput for touchpad, no Synaptics installed.
After a variable but short period (usually within 5 minutes) the tap to
click functionality of the touchpad stops working.
Nothing of note in syslog or dmesg.
Peculiarly, sudo libinput-debug-events --enable-tap continues to show
the correct output for taps (e.g. BTTN_LEFT etc) even after the UI stops
responding to taps. So it may well be that it is not libinput? But I had
to start somewhere!
What is the event handling chain after libinput? Any pointers towards
where I might look for an issue?
