I searched a bit in Google and -I think- that I've found the solution by
resetting the default "sink":

The webpage:

https://www.reddit.com/r/linuxmint/comments/5d3gcb/no_sound_in_linux_mint_18/

First, I tried the first workaround in the terminal:

$ sudo alsa force-reload

$ sudo apt-get remove --purge alsa-base pulseaudio

$ sudo apt-get install alsa-base pulseaudio

$ sudo alsa force-reload

But I got not sounds yet.

So, I tried the second advice:

$ pacmd list-sinks

My "sink" it's sink 0, so I wrote:

$ pacmd set-default-sink 0

Then:

$ pulseaudio -k

I restarted the OS, and the laptop has sounds again; Perhaps it would
have sounds by applying the first or the second workaround only and
restarting, but the case it's that doing the 2 things advised above the
sound works OK now.

I have applied this fix on Xubuntu 17.04, but likely it will work with
Kubuntu and other flavors, as well.
