Dear ChristianEhrhardt!
Thank you for your comment and test.
I mean that simple old ("sudo kvm -hda /dev/sdc -m 1024") method of
booting USB-flash produces file-system damage.
Mentioning grub2-theme-preview was an illustration, I have never used
it. I visited their page from search engine while searching warning
message.
I report this bug to highlight the changes in QEMU-KVM regarding raw-format
detection. Without format=raw user can get filesystem corruption on virtual
drive.
