Public bug reported:

I installed GNOME Books in Ubuntu Software to read an EPUB for school
and wasted a bunch of time looking for it in the Dash. I finally went
into the Terminal and typed "gnome-books &". It got the job done for
reading the EPUB (wasn't an amazing experience, but I didn't need one -
I needed the information contained in the EPUB).

Please don't list it in the Software Center if it won't show up in the
Dash. And if you do list it, show it in the Dash. It's confusing and
wastes time, and the average user won't know how to open it in the
Terminal or modify the .desktop to show it in the Dash (what I ended up
doing).

The culprit was OnlyShowIn=GNOME in the .desktop file. I was using Unity

Thank you ^^

------------

Ubuntu version: Ubuntu 17.04
Package version: 3.24.0-0ubuntu1
What I expected to happen: open in the dash like any other app
What happened instead: had to open in terminal and mess around with .desktop
files
