Public bug reported:
Ubuntu release: 16.04
Package version: 1:8.0-0ubuntu3.2
Expected: Audio to play from all speakers as normal.
What happened instead: Audio is only delivered via subwoofer. Left and
right speakers are not detected.
On Asus G750, Sound is delivered only from the subwoofer on the under-side of
the laptop.
The top speakers are ignored and subwoofer sound is distorted as it is not
meant to be the primary sound delivery.
Changing any settings results in total loss of audio, including changes
to etc/pulse/daemon.conf
In Sound settings, left and right speakers show up under test, but sound
from both plays from the subwoofer. Subwoofer therefore seems to be
being detected as the left and right speakers.
** Affects: pulseaudio (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
