Hi Franco, I looked through the logs that were attached, but they didn't point me to a specific issue yet. Just that the samba service isn't cleanly (re)starting on an related upgrade.
Since I didn't find any more in the logs, did you try as it wrote on the terminal and ran: $ systemctl status smbd.service If so did it point to any issue that can be worked on - mostly this is a broken configuration file or something like this. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1690457 Title: package samba 2:4.3.11+dfsg-0ubuntu0.16.04.6 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/samba/+bug/1690457/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
