This is QEMU 2.10. The basic POWER9 support is coming with QEMU 2.10. > I seem to copy this message a lot now, since you started tracking all > features. > No offense - I just need to make clear on the bug that - until we know what > the details are - we can't work on it yet. No problem! :) This feature is to make sure we have the needed generic support in QEMU to run POWER8-compat mode guests. It can be successfully tested by being able to run a Ubuntu verion targeted for POWER8, such as Ubuntu 16.10, as a guest on a POWER9 machine. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1692451 Title: [17.10 FEAT] qemu: P8-Compat mode for P8 Guests on P9 platform To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-power-systems/+bug/1692451/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
