Public bug reported:

When I select a group and hit CTRL-Shift-g to ungroup it, what occurs is
that the elements are ungrouped and each element is selected. This is
wanted. However, when I then click on an individual element (because I
want to modify this single one before re-grouping the elements), instead
of selecting this element and unselecting the others, this simply does
nothing. As a consequence, I have to *first* unselect all the ex-group
elements (e.g. by clicking somewhere in a blank spot), *then* select the
individual element I want to change. This more than triples(*) the
number of mouse clicks necessary for a simple edition of an element, the
is far from productive...

(*) particularly when you consider you should not have to ungroup elements to
modify a single one inside a group.
