Public bug reported:

I am having problems with the new releases of Gutsy: Ubuntu, Kubuntu,
Edbuntu but not Xubuntu. The problem is that when I boot the live CD the
screen just goes blank after the inital loading screen. They will start
in safe graphics mode but only at 1280x800 and if I change the
resolution either while live or after an installation the screen just
messes up! The standard graphics boot worked on some LCD screens I have
at work, but at home I use 19" VDU monitors. Is this a common problem or
is it just my hardware? I am using an ATI Radeon 9250 in one PC and a
ATI Radeon 7000 in the other.
