I fixed it by: ``` sudo rm -rf /etc/mysq sudo rm -rf /var/lib/mysql sudo apt-get remove --purge mysql-server mysql-client mysql-common sudo apt-get autoremove sudo apt-get autoclean sudo apt-get install mariadb-server ```
