Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: xserver-xgl
I tried installing XGL to see if I could run compiz / xinelerra (see my
bug on the subject).
> sudo apt-get install xserver-xgl
KDM came up, I logged in...and nothing happened; i.e. the login box
disappeared and it just sat at the KDM theme.
I restarted X; logged into failsafe mode, and:
> sudo apt-get remove xserver-xgl
Restarted X again, and now I can get back into KDE. I repeated this
again to check that it was the cause.
** Affects: xserver-xgl (Ubuntu)
