Thinkpad T60 1953-ETU
Video is Intel 945GM
Feisty uses the i810 device.
Gutsy uses the intel device.
Intermittently the computer will crash hard with a bunch of dark
horizontal bars on the screen; then I have to turn if off and then back
on because there is no response from the keyboard a. The screen size is
normally 1400x1050 but the horizontal bars only extend to what look like
1024. The bars usually occur at 1/4 in intervals approximately and their
thickness vary.
With feisty i386 and amd64 this would happen on the average once a week.
I installed gutsy amd64 a couple of days ago and it's already crashed a
half dozen times. I've returned to using feisty.
Sorry, I cannot reproduce. It seems to be quite random.
I'm open to suggestions regarding how to track down the source of the
problem.
