This bug really should be reassigned to package "udev" because it ships
a blacklist-framebuffer file that prevents loading of all frame buffer
drivers. This, in turn, affects the creation of ramdisk images, which
can be handled by different tools, because the blacklist also prevents
the inclusion of the driver in ramdisk images.

Anyhow, by the looks of it, the kernel that ships with Gutsy is back to
where the Feisty kernel was, in terms of features: fbcon and vesafb
copiled as modules. The only notable difference is the newer udev that
includes the afore mentioned module blacklist, which is why this bug
really ought to be reassigned to "udev".
