That bug was regarding Ubuntu 16.10. And fix was made in Ubuntu package not in upstream master. This bug is about the same issue seen in Ubuntu 16.04.3. Anyways, I'll close the bug for the reason mentioned in Comment#12 and ask the reporter to open a Community (Debian) bug for the issue.
