Public bug reported:

Hi,
it looks like php-memcached in the provided version 2.x in Ubuntu Xenial is not
fully working with PHP 7. According to the official changelog of php-memcached
[1] the support for PHP 7 (especially session management) was introduced in
Version 3.0.0a1. Could we get an update of this package in Xenial as PHP 7 is
the default PHP version there?
