Public bug reported:
I'm seeing graphics glitches coming out of suspend with Gutsy on my
Compal CL56. This has an "ATI MOBILITY RADEON 9700 Pro (M11-P), 4x AGP"
128MB in it. I had compiz on in Feisty on this same machine, and it
seemed to pretty much work fine, though there may have been a small
glitch now and then.
The glitches look to me like they're probably corruption of texture
buffers. For example, the last time I saw one, the popup window compiz
shows when I flip between workspaces using the keyboard appeared to just
be random noise. However, normal windows on the screen appeared ok.
Workaround: If I switch to console with ctrl-alt-f1 and then switch
back, the display is restored.
Just at a guess, perhaps the X server needs to reload its textures into
video memory during unsuspend, and isn't doing it right?
I'm running Gutsy hot off the presses with no significant customization.
