Subject: Vrider du ur snoppen?
That's one beautiful lab. Tip from a fellow who has two labs: Do NOT shampoo
your lab. First, it's not necessary most of the time, labs love water, and
they're generally clean dogs! You'll see him rolling in mud, and he'll be
perfectly clean 15 minutes later. They are fucking waterproof, so whatever
dirt they got on them just falls off after it dries out.
This waterproofing comes from their multilayered coat of hair and the oil
they naturally secret that keeps their base layer of hair waterproof. Shampoo
will break down that oil, and it'll take him a while to recover it. Anyway,
they love swimming, and usually just letting them play on the water for a
while is more than enough to clean them. Also, if you live near a body of
water, take him as often as possible, but remember to wash them afterwards if
said body of water happens to be the ocean, to remove the salt form their
hair.
