I can repeatably get this problem if I boot without a network connection. I get the message "waiting for a start job to complete ... Raise Network Interfaces" followed by "NMI Watchdog: BUG: soft lockup - CPU#1 stuck for 22s! [swapper/1:0]" Booting with a network cable attached has no problems. This is on 4.10.0-26 and AMD Athlon 64 X2, using an AMD GPU. Nouveau module is not loaded.
