Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: update-manager
I manually upgraded my Kubuntu from 7.04 to 7.10 some time ago via
sources.lst and apt-get dist-upgrade (due to problems with suspend)
before I'd learned of update manager.
Now that Gutsy has had it's official release, every time adept updater
runs I'm told I'm due a version upgrade. It gets as far as telling me
that a bunch of packages are now obsoleted and I then get a screen
saying:
"There are no upgrades available for your system. The upgrade will now
be cancelled"
The updater then rolls back any changes. Is there actually anything that
the update procedure will do that hasn't been done already? If so, is
there any way to do it manually? If not, how do I convince adept that
I'm already running the current version?
** Affects: update-manager (Ubuntu)
