Sorry, forget the line about plenty swap: swap actually goes down to 0 during
the process.
The document opens in 512 MB ram if nothing else is running (still giving the
cairo NULL pointer message), it breaks when firefox is open (on google).
In Feisty, with evince 0.8.1-0ubuntu1, the document only takes 53 MB (virt) to
open. In Feisty I don't get the cairo NULL pointer message.
