Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: update-manager

I have a Compaq laptop with Athlon 64 X2 Turion processor, 1 GB RAM,
nVidia graphics card. While installing 7.04 (Feisty), I encountered
errors in the CD startup. The recommended solution for this (in the
Ubuntu forums) was to disable acpi in the boot line. I did that, and
today, I was trying to upgrade to Gutsy. After a few Adept crashes, I
got to the stage where I couldfinally click on "Version Upgrade". It
went on smoothly enough till it reached the following error.

"subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 1"

I think the upgrade will continue, but it seems that this is related to
the fact that the acpi was disabled.

Regards.
