Public bug reported:
Users are unable to export a PNG graphic
Already fixed upstream and released in python-ase/3.13.0-1
https://gitlab.com/ase/ase/commit/79768f1568c7802ab08af533e56b70a269ecbf0b
[Test Case]
# sudo apt install python-ase
$ ase-gui
select File / Save from the menu
enter 'test1.png' for the filename
click Save button
No file is created and the following is printed to the terminal:
ValueError: Expected 3-dimensional array, got 1
[Regression Potential]
The patch fixes an incompatibility with matplotlib2 in the PNG exporting
function. Python-ase's only reverse-dependency is gpaw, from the same upstream.
