You have been subscribed to a public bug: Since a long time in Mint Mate / Caja the colors in the filemanager are defect. As written here for example:
https://github.com/mate-desktop/caja/issues/381 or here https://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?t=207069 2 days ago I've done a fresh install of Mint Mate 18.2 - and still the same as a version before. Window-Theme is Mate-X, window-decor changed to WinME (dont know if thats important). In the file-manager the letters are almost unreadable if I rename something or mark letters , it gets bright grey on white background. So I googled to find a workaround again and have read to open 'edit' and change 'background-patterns' by moving a color or pattern to the background - and found the next problem: the first time I opened the settings-window everything was fine, I moved a pattern there, did not liked it and pressed on color...and bäm: There is no color visible, only a grey box from now on. Furthermore I am not able to add a new color to that box - its only a grey box now. I press on pattern again - but the box remain grey - the patterns I saw minutes ago are away, too now. I'll add a pic. To reproduce I just have to click on 'colors' - and there are no colors. Its just defect here. If its important, my active windowmanager is compiz. ** Affects: caja (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Assignee: Micha (m-st-w) Status: New -- caja colors and its settings corrupted https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1702811 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
