Hi, I am getting the same problem here on Gusty. I have an HP Compaq
6710b with the intel 965gm x3100 and was previously using fiesty with
it. Then, i was using the vesa driver and everything was fine, i.e, no
crash on 3d etc... When upgrading to gusty, i saw that support for this
card was added via the xserver-xorg-video-intel driver. So i changed my
xorg.conf file as it was described in some of the forums namely setting
the driver to "intel" etc... But after doing that, each time i try to
launch a 3d application my xserver will just hang and i am forced to
power-off and boot again. Even simple test applications such as glxgears
fail. I have attached a copy of my xorg.conf file
