Public bug reported:

I try to boot Ubuntu 7.10 AMD64 Live CD. If I make it with default
settings after message "Loading Linux kernel" screen turn off and LEDs
Caps Lock and Scroll Lock are flashing. Same effect if selected "Safe
graphics mode". I can't see any errors or diagnostics messages on
screen.

But if change boot option "splash" to "nosplash" all works fine.

Video card ATI X800GTO, LCD monitor BENQ 991 (1280x1024).
