Public bug reported:

When trying to connect to my Ubuntu PC on the same subnet, any VNC
client I try fails at Authentication, either by not being able to read
the next byte or not being compatible with RFB 3.3.

I thought this was a resolved issue from way back in 2011, but apparently not.
Please fix!
