Public bug reported:

The tray icons for applications should be accessible in the left bottom
corner of the screen on Gnome, according to what I saw in Ubuntu Gnome
17.04.

Now that I'm testing Ubuntu 17.10 I can't see how to access those icons.

I have Nextcloud client is installed form PPA:

nextcloud-client:
  Installed: 2.3.2-20170713.070732~artful1
  Candidate: 2.3.2-20170713.070732~artful1
  Version table:
 *** 2.3.2-20170713.070732~artful1 500
        500 http://ppa.launchpad.net/nextcloud-devs/client/ubuntu artful/main
amd64 Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

And Dropbox from their web page:

dropbox:
  Installed: 2015.10.28
  Candidate: 2015.10.28
  Version table:
 *** 2015.10.28 100
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

I know that these are not official ubuntu packages, but what I'm
reporting is the lack of access to their icons in Gnome.

The applications are working. I can confirm that because I can open
Nextcloud Client window from "Activities", and I receive notifications
of both applications when there are file changes.

This is also happening in wayland and xorg.

Thank you.
