Hello 1234fedcba, or anyone else affected, Accepted indicator-sound-gtk2 into zesty-proposed. The package will build now and be available at https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source /indicator-sound-gtk2/12.10.0.1-0ubuntu5.17.04.1 in a few hours, and then in the -proposed repository.
