** Description changed: Using Ubuntu Gnome 17.4, 4.10.0-32-generic. Connected device: USB-C Hub (BQEEL-HUB-GN30E-Gray-EU) witch has several USB ports, HDMI, Ethernet and SD-Card readers. On startup with the USB-hub connected, right after login the system freezes or jumps back to splash screen and then freeze or black screen. System is not responding anymore, only option is to reset. It does not matter if any device is connected to the usb-hub, the result is always the same. The hub itself works as expected if I connect it after startup, no crashes. kern.log is attached + --- + ApportVersion: 2.20.4-0ubuntu4.5 + Architecture: amd64 + AudioDevicesInUse: + USER PID ACCESS COMMAND + /dev/snd/pcmC0D0p: armin 1648 F...m pulseaudio + /dev/snd/controlC0: armin 1648 F.... pulseaudio + CurrentDesktop: GNOME + DistroRelease: Ubuntu 17.04 + EcryptfsInUse: Yes + HibernationDevice: RESUME=UUID=58998ae7-a261-404e-9bfe-e932c28425f3 + InstallationDate: Installed on 2017-03-25 (140 days ago) + InstallationMedia: Ubuntu-GNOME 16.10 "Yakkety Yak" - Release amd64 (20161012.1) + Lsusb: + Bus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0003 Linux Foundation 3.0 root hub + Bus 001 Device 004: ID 1e7d:2dbe ROCCAT + Bus 001 Device 003: ID 0a5c:6414 Broadcom Corp. + Bus 001 Device 002: ID 13d3:5664 IMC Networks + Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub + MachineType: LENOVO 80ML + Package: linux (not installed) + ProcEnviron: + TERM=xterm-256color + PATH=(custom, no user) + XDG_RUNTIME_DIR=<set> + LANG=de_DE.UTF-8 + SHELL=/bin/bash + ProcFB: 0 inteldrmfb + ProcKernelCmdLine: BOOT_IMAGE=/boot/vmlinuz-4.10.0-32-generic.efi.signed root=UUID=2b2c6df5-486a-4fd3-b45c-11eff86846cc ro quiet splash crashkernel=384M-:128M crashkernel=384M-:128M vt.handoff=7 + ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 4.10.0-32.36-generic 4.10.17 + RelatedPackageVersions: + linux-restricted-modules-4.10.0-32-generic N/A + linux-backports-modules-4.10.0-32-generic N/A + linux-firmware 1.164.1 + Tags: zesty + Uname: Linux 4.10.0-32-generic x86_64 + UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) + UserGroups: adm cdrom dip lpadmin plugdev sambashare sudo + _MarkForUpload: True + dmi.bios.date: 10/02/2016 + dmi.bios.vendor: LENOVO + dmi.bios.version: E1CN46WW + dmi.board.asset.tag: NO Asset Tag + dmi.board.name: VIUU4 + dmi.board.vendor: LENOVO + dmi.board.version: SDK0J40709 WIN + dmi.chassis.asset.tag: NO Asset Tag + dmi.chassis.type: 10 + dmi.chassis.vendor: LENOVO + dmi.chassis.version: Lenovo YOGA 900S-12ISK + dmi.modalias: dmi:bvnLENOVO:bvrE1CN46WW:bd10/02/2016:svnLENOVO:pn80ML:pvrLenovoYOGA900S-12ISK:rvnLENOVO:rnVIUU4:rvrSDK0J40709WIN:cvnLENOVO:ct10:cvrLenovoYOGA900S-12ISK: + dmi.product.name: 80ML + dmi.product.version: Lenovo YOGA 900S-12ISK + dmi.sys.vendor: LENOVO ** Attachment added: "AlsaInfo.txt" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1710453/+attachment/4931591/+files/AlsaInfo.txt -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1710453 Title: Crash after startup with connected USB-Hub To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1710453/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
