Often, though not always horizontal tearing looking like sync problem
occurs only within the popup window of Chinese input using google-pinyin
within Librewriter. the blinking and flashing will stop as soon a word
is selected.
It happens under any of the following scenarios
- graphics came with original install
- mesa graphics for AMD
- AMD CPU microcode, or not
PPA used
in addition to usual
ubuntu-x-swat
libreoffice-5-4
chrome/deb
nilarimogard/webup8
